Reflections on the Spring Equinox
The beauty of the rising up and out from ourselves and into the world has arrived.
The softness of flowers pushing up from deep in the earth.
The feeling of fresh air in our homes and filling our sacred bodies as we breathe in the outside air.
The rain and mist nourishing and bringing the essence and energy of Spring into our senses.
The way the sun has shifted position in the sky as it rises in the morning giving us a peek at the warmth that is to come in the coming months.
The energy of the Spring equinox is one of pushing up and outward. Of stepping out of our shells of winter and allowing ourselves to be seen, petal by petal… This is the season of birth and renewal.
Of feeling our bodies and emotions in a different way. This new rhythm within ourselves and in the natural world.
Wise Women throughout the Ages knew these Rhythms of Nature intimately and how connected they are to our bodies and our life on this Earth.
To shift into another season is as real as the resistance we feel in our bodies and the outer distractions encountered everyday.
It requests of us to stop, take some time out of our busy lives, and listen.
Listen to how we would like to find equilibrium and stability between the inner voice and the outer world.
This is a practice. It takes courage. Courage; from Old French corage "heart, innermost feelings; temper and from Latin cor "heart".
Stepping into the newness, the feelings of renewal, from the heart and soul and to fully embody it.
Let’s practice this together, because, I can always be reminded of what I need as I step into newness.
As we embark on this awakening into a new year, let’s also remember that We are held, we are loved, and we are seen as brilliantly as if we were a newborn baby.
Below are some simple tools to make this transitional time more visual, tangible and, hopefully, playful.

Putting these tools to practice in our daily life can help us to be present with where we are and allow us the reflective time needed to ground into our life with presence and grace.
Being gentle is necessary, as sometimes we don’t move at the pace of anothers pace.
As someone who needs a pretty ample amount of time to sort out the triggers, the passing energies to fully know what I feel, want, and create boundaries around (becasue, frankly half my family assumed my thoughts and feelings didn’t matter) I can honestly say that those around you will push for answers, resolutions and fixes.
If those around you don’t seem to be okay with how your internal wiring works, it’s about them.
And if you explode, oh well.
Acceptance is also part of the practice.
